It's Patio Time!

Spring is in the air, the snow is melting and we can't wait to get out and hit the patios! April 3rd marks First Friday and the season opening of Alternate Grounds Dockside and a quickly approaching season of Friday night Patio Parties at the Sarnia Riding Club.

We asked Alix Sanders, one of Sarnia's own, to write about her top 3 picks for this spring. So here we go,

Alix’s Spring Picks

Lake of Bays Spring Maple Blonde Ale

A hoppy, smooth Belgian blonde ale subtly-scented using Ontario maple syrup. Released mid-March, it’s a strong beer that comes in a made-for-sharing size bottle. This is the perfect choice for celebrating sugar bush season and ringing in Spring.

Hoegaarden

Cloudy wheat beer with the fresh combination of springy citrus, orange peel and spicy coriander. Add a slice of fresh orange to enhance this beers’ natural distinct flavour and it makes it the perfect addition to early spring meals enjoyed in mild weather on the patio.

Stiegl Radler Grapefruit

A personal favourite, this one gets top prize for its spring-like-ness and drinkability. A refreshing combination of beer and grapefruit juice makes this the perfect take on a shandy. Delicious in the can but even better on tap, it’s a go to beer for relaxing and entertaining.

Alix lives in Sarnia and is a professional sun lover, beer drinker and patio stalker.

Thanks, Alix!

Keep an eye out for some fun promos with Beer Me Sarnia this year!

Cheers!
